I uploaded a photo from my phone’s camera to use as the header to my blog page. This is taken from my balcony. I’ll change it up as the seasons progress.
I’ve not written for a couple of days now. Been in a kind of slump. I’m not sure just where I’m going in the new book. It’s like I can see the end but how to get there is a big fat question mark. The thing about a slump is that you have to stay on your toes or it can just slide into day after day of the same old thing. I don’t want that. It is the precursor to the dreaded…depression.
So–no more! Today is a new day, not just the same as yesterday. I’ve got my headphones on, listening to Matchbox Twenty, Muse, Thrice, Anberlin, Foo Fighters, Cruxshadows, Kid Rock, Incubus, Nickelback, and a new favorite The Asteroid Galaxy Tour. That last one is the group that sings the cool song on the Heineken commercial that I like so much. The song’s called The Golden Age. Classical music is strictly on back-up in the lineup today. A new day means new thinking, new ideas, new words, new directions for my characters to head into. I’m feeling my way back into the zone.
